Privacy Notice
This notice was last reviewed on 1 August 2026.
This notice explains what we do with personal data collected through airflightsearch.com.
AirFlightSearch
Data controller
To search, book and support air travel you ask us to arrange
What we collect
- Booking data. Passenger names, dates of birth, contact details, itinerary details, and travel document information where a route requires it.
- Payment data. Handled by our payment partners. We receive a transaction result and a truncated card reference; we do not hold full card numbers.
- Support data. What you send us by form, email or chat, and our replies.
- Technical and campaign data. IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and campaign parameters such as
utm_sourceorgclidwhere present.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
- To perform your booking — necessary to provide the service you asked for.
- To support you afterwards — our legitimate interest in servicing what we sold.
- To meet legal and tax obligations — including retention of transaction records.
- To detect fraud — our legitimate interest, and our payment partners’ requirements.
- Analytics and advertising measurement — only with your consent, given through the cookie banner.
Who we share it with
Airlines and inventory partners, so a ticket can be issued. Payment processors, to take payment. Email delivery and hosting providers that run our infrastructure. Our internal booking system. Analytics and advertising platforms, only where you have consented. Authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
Some recipients are outside your country. Where data leaves its origin jurisdiction we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
Booking and transaction records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law, generally seven years from the end of the relevant financial year. Support correspondence unrelated to a booking is kept for up to two years. Consent-based analytics data follows the retention period of the platform concerned.
How to opt out
These are the actual steps, not just the rights:
- Analytics and advertising cookies. Choose Decline on the cookie banner and neither is loaded. If you already accepted and want to change your mind, clear cookies for airflightsearch.com in your browser settings and reload the page — the banner reappears and your new choice applies. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser; the site still works.
- Marketing contact. Reply to any message from us asking to be removed, or email [email protected] with “opt out” in the subject. We action it within five business days. We do not run a marketing newsletter, so this only affects follow-up about enquiries you have made.
- Callback requests. Tell us on the call, or email us, and we stop contacting you about that enquiry.
- Everything else. To access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, or to receive a portable copy, email [email protected]. We respond within the period the applicable law allows.
Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages about a booking you have already made — itineraries, ticket numbers and schedule changes. Those are part of the service you bought, and we cannot suppress them while a booking is live.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws, so there is no sale to opt out of.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access your data, correct it, ask for deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
Cookies necessary to make search and booking work are set on load. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them. See the cookie notice for the categories and how to change your choice.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, access to booking records is restricted to staff who need it, and card data is handled by PCI-compliant processors. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.
Children
The site is not intended for children. We process a child’s details only as a passenger on a booking made by an adult.
